Dongnam Regional Radiation Medical Center (Medical Director Chang-Hoon Lee) and Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council (Acting Chairman Yong-Woo Kim) signed an agreement on April 17 at the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council to support health checkups for residents in the Seosaeng area.

Southeast Regional Radiation Medical Center - Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council, Agreement to Support Health Checkups On the 17th, a health checkup agreement ceremony for residents was held between the Southeast Regional Radiation Medical Center and the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council.

This agreement is a project in which Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters supports 500 million KRW for health checkups to improve the welfare of Seosaeng-myeon residents. The agreement was made among five parties: Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council, Dongnam Regional Radiation Medical Center, Joeun Samjeong Hospital, Donggang Hospital, and Ulsan Central Hospital, with two hospitals each from Busan and Ulsan participating.

The health checkup candidates are residents of Seosaeng-myeon who have lived there for more than 10 years and are between 20 and 60 years old. To receive a health checkup, residents must apply in advance through the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council.

Seosaeng-myeon residents can choose a comprehensive checkup worth approximately 800,000 KRW, including cancer precision examinations and cerebrovascular precision examinations, at their preferred hospital. Dongnam Regional Radiation Medical Center offers not only cancer precision examination programs but also, for the first time this year, a specialized brain checkup using the latest MRI and artificial intelligence (AI) to enable early diagnosis of dementia.

Choi Won-ho, Head of External Cooperation at Dongnam Regional Radiation Medical Center, said, “Among the 675 Seosaeng residents who underwent examinations last year, 389 visited Dongnam Regional Radiation Medical Center. All tests were conducted directly by cancer specialists, ensuring high reliability, and when abnormalities were found, immediate medical consultation was provided, resulting in high satisfaction. As a public medical institution representing the region, we will do our best to provide kind and professional examinations and treatments to detect and prevent diseases early among the residents of the Seosaeng area.”
