Joint Training for Doctoral Programs and Cultural Exchange Time Held
Daegu Catholic University invited a delegation of professors from Yanshan University in China on the 15th to hold discussions on joint doctoral program development and cultural exchange programs.
The 15 members who visited this time, including Jiao Lin and Liu Weixiang, deans of the College of Art and Design at Yanshan University, spent two days at Daegu Catholic University.
Daegu Catholic University invited a delegation of professors from Yanshan University, China, on the 15th to discuss joint doctoral training and cultural exchange programs, and they are taking a commemorative photo.
Yanshan University, located in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, China, is a national key university jointly established by the Hebei Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
On the first day, they toured the Central Library equipped with advanced educational facilities and later held a special lecture in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hall lecture room led by Dean Jiao Lin.
On the second day, after visiting the Kim Seong-ae Museum, which exhibits historically valuable artifacts, they had a meeting with President Seong Han-gi and held a discussion to strengthen academic ties and joint doctoral program development.
Seong Han-gi, President of Daegu Catholic University, said, “We hope that through active exchanges and consultations, we will nurture talents with global competencies and further strengthen friendship between universities and countries.”
Since signing a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation in January 2023, the two universities have continued exchanges, including signing a joint master's double degree program agreement between the College of Music and Performing Arts and the College of Art and Design, establishing the ‘DCU-Yanshan University Joint Research Institute,’ and visits by professors from the Department of Media, Video, Advertising, and Public Relations of the College of Music and Performing Arts to Yanshan University.
