The Malgeunmul Office of Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducts the 'Safe Tap Water Confirmation System' year-round to alleviate residents' concerns about tap water and to supply safe tap water.
The 'Safe Tap Water Confirmation System' is a program where any resident curious about the quality of tap water can apply for a water quality test, and an Uljin-gun official visits each home to test the tap water free of charge and provide the results.
Six items are tested: residual chlorine to check safety against bacteria and proper disinfection, iron, copper, zinc, turbidity, and pH to diagnose the aging of water pipes.
Residents who wish to apply for a water quality test can do so via the Mulsarang website or by calling the Malgeunmul Office's Waterworks Operation Team.
County Governor Son Byeong-bok stated, "We will do our best to continuously provide free water quality testing services so that residents can use clean tap water with confidence and to enhance trust in tap water."
