According to the fire station, facilities for the elderly and disabled, such as nursing homes, have difficulty in self-evacuation or disaster response activities during emergencies, which can lead to large-scale casualties. Therefore, the initial response capability of the personnel in charge is very important.

To this end, the fire station, together with Seo-gu Office and advisory committees on electricity, gas, and architecture, focused on listening to the general status of the nursing homes ▲ fire prevention safety guidance ▲ inspection of vulnerable facilities and evacuation routes for those with mobility difficulties ▲ guidance on fire facility management ▲ detailed inspections of electricity, gas, and architectural aspects.

Jeon Gye-cheol, Director of the Prevention and Safety Division, stated, “Since nursing homes are facilities with many elderly people who have difficulty moving, it is necessary for the personnel in charge to pay attention and continuously manage the facilities to prevent fires.” He added, “We hope that the personnel will carefully observe risk factors and pay special attention to safety management in daily life.”
