Policy for Free Provision of Detachable Handles by Importers and Sellers
The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 19th that it will conduct a voluntary recall of nine MSR camping pot models due to the risk of burns caused by handle detachment during use.
The affected models are ▲Reactor 1.0L Pot ▲Reactor 1.7L Pot ▲Reactor 1.0L Stove System ▲Reactor 1.7L Stove System ▲Trail Lite 1.3L Pot ▲Trail Lite 2L Pot ▲Trail Lite Duo Cook Set ▲Trail Lite Solo Cook Set ▲PocketRocket Stove Kit.
According to the Consumer Agency's investigation, these models may have handles that detach or become loose from the body during use, posing a burn risk to users. Recalls have already been issued in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other countries.
Hosangsa, the importer and distributor of MSR products, will provide detachable handles (lifters) for 18,336 units of the affected models sold between July 2008 and February of this year as part of this voluntary recall.
The Consumer Agency urged consumers who own these products to stop using them immediately and to contact Hosangsa's recall application website for prompt assistance.
Detailed information about the investigation targets can be found on the Consumer24 website, the Consumer Agency website, or the Consumer Hazard Monitoring System.
