In the first part of the event, employees with disabilities belonging to OCI Dream prepared various programs such as a flower class and a classical music performance to celebrate the Day of Persons with Disabilities.
In the second part, artist Kim Ji-yeon from the social enterprise "HandSpeak," which plans agricultural art content and discovers deaf artists, was invited to present a celebratory performance that both persons with and without disabilities could enjoy together. A lucky draw event was held for attendees, with the first prize being an airline ticket sponsored by Singapore Airlines.
Some of the proceeds from this charity event will be donated to the Seoul Northern Disabled Welfare Center, along with sponsorship funds prepared by OCI Group, to be used as vocational training support funds for persons with disabilities.
OCI Dream was established in August 2019. It provides stable jobs in office support and asset management within OCI Group, as well as in the food service, cultural, and flower business sectors. It contributes to the economic independence of persons with disabilities and the creation of social value. Currently, OCI Dream employs 17 disabled employees and non-disabled employees working together.
CEO Lee Ji-hyun said, "I believe that simply spending enjoyable time together with persons with and without disabilities, as in this charity event, can improve awareness of persons with disabilities." She added, "Going forward, OCI Dream will take the lead in exploring various ways to enable more persons with disabilities to feel fulfilled through social participation and will continue to fulfill its social responsibilities."
