NHN Waplat Selected for Seongnam City Senior-Friendly Business Digital Transformation Support Project

Waplet, a senior care specialized subsidiary of NHN, announced on the 19th that it has been selected for the '2024 Seongnam City Senior-Friendly Enterprise Digital Transformation and Acceleration Support Project' organized by the Seongnam Senior Industry Innovation Center and will carry out related projects.

This project aims to support companies affiliated with the Seongnam Senior Industry Innovation Center in integrating digital technology into senior-friendly products or transforming existing offline-based senior-friendly services into online-based digital services.

Waplet has been converting traditional face-to-face elder care and health management services into digital platform services using mobile applications, and was selected for this project in recognition of its technological capabilities and service growth potential.

Waplet will focus on the additional core technology development and advancement of 'Waplet Public,' a local government-specialized senior care platform currently under development. In particular, by actively utilizing internal and external IT capabilities and infrastructure, Waplet plans to build a platform that can practically contribute to improving the work efficiency of care workers and the digital transformation of local government senior care systems.

Previously, Waplet has actively promoted the expansion of Waplet Public to local governments through public-private cooperation, including signing a business agreement with Yongin City.

A Waplet representative stated, "Waplet, established to contribute to solving various social issues caused by aging, was recognized for its accumulated technological capabilities and was selected for the related support project. We will strive to implement a more complete service so that Waplet Public can become a practical solution to local government senior care issues."
