Samsung Electronics Service is providing the 'Samsung Tactile Sticker' free of charge to enhance the convenience of home appliance use for visually impaired users. The Samsung Tactile Sticker is a Braille sticker that can be used universally on all Samsung Electronics home appliances. Considering that most visually impaired users are low-vision individuals with residual eyesight, it is made with a 'yellow embossed icon.'

The Samsung Tactile Sticker comes in four types: ▲power and function guide icons ▲Braille numbers from 0 to 9 ▲shape icons such as triangles and squares ▲guide dots and lines connecting buttons. Attaching the shape icons to parts that open and close, such as the washing machine detergent compartment or drainage filter, allows users to easily recognize the usage location. By combining the four types of icons, users can create and use the most easily recognizable embossed guidelines.

For hearing-impaired users, the 'Sign Language Consultation Service' is also being expanded. Since 2022, dedicated interpreters at the contact center have provided sign language consultations, and sign language guidance functions have been introduced on service center kiosks. When users visit a service center and select the 'Sign Language Guide' button at the bottom right of the kiosk, they can use the desired services without connecting to a sign language consultant.

Samsung Electronics Service has also established a 'Sign Language Consultation Dedicated System' on its website, enabling smooth consultations not only through sign language video calls but also through chat for parts that are difficult to express in sign language. In March, it also obtained the 'Web Accessibility Quality Certification' to make the website convenient for users with disabilities.

Song Bong-seop, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Service, said, "We will do our best to ensure that all customers using Samsung Electronics products can conveniently use the services they want."
