Yoon Visits April 19 Democratic Cemetery... "Will Develop Liberal Democracy Protected by Revolution"

Visiting the Memorial with 4·19 Revolution Organization Officials

President Yoon Suk-yeol paid tribute at the National April 19th Democratic Cemetery in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, on the 64th anniversary of the April 19th Revolution on the 19th.


The presidential office reported that President Yoon prayed for the souls of the April 19th democratic martyrs and pledged to "further develop the liberal democracy protected by the revolution."


Upon arriving at the National April 19th Democratic Cemetery, President Yoon moved to the April 19th Memorial Tower along with Kang Jeong-ae, Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and officials from April 19th Revolution organizations.


Following the guidance of Yoon Woo-yong, Director of the National April 19th Democratic Cemetery, the president concluded the visit by laying flowers, offering incense, and observing a moment of silence.

Attending the tribute were Oh Kyung-seop, President of the April 19th Democratic Revolution Association; Jeong Jung-seop, President of the April 19th Revolution Victims' Families Association; Park Hoon, President of the April 19th Revolution Meritorious Persons Association; Jeong Yong-sang, President of the April Association Corporation; and Kim Ki-byeong, Chairman of the April 19th Public Law Organizations Federation.


From the presidential office, Jang Ho-jin, Director of the National Security Office; Lee Gwan-seop, Chief Secretary; Sung Tae-yoon, Director of Policy; Kim Tae-hyo, First Deputy Director of the National Security Office; In Seong-hwan, Second Deputy Director of the National Security Office; and Wang Yoon-jong, Third Deputy Director of the National Security Office, were present.
