On the 18th at 1:30 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, held a donation ceremony for the 'Seoul Northeast Hero Era' in the mayor's office.
This donation ceremony was made possible by a personal donation of $3,000 (approximately 4 million KRW) from Gray (Korean name Lee Byung-nam), a member of the Seoul Northeast Hero Era.
The donor, Gray, said, "A few years ago, when I was going through a difficult time after losing my husband, I happened to hear singer Lim Young-woong's stage performance, which gave me the vitality to live again. I hope this donation will be a seed of hope that helps many people regain their vitality," delivering a warm message of hope.
Seoul Northeast Hero Era is a fan club of singer Lim Young-woong, composed of fans from Seoul (Nowon-gu, Gangbuk-gu, Dobong-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, Jungnang-gu) and Gyeonggi-do (Guri-si, Namyangju-si, Uijeongbu-si, Pocheon-si). Last year, they also donated 8.7 million KRW to the Nowon Education Welfare Foundation for the Hope Sharing Kimchi-making Project to support vulnerable groups, continuing their steady sharing efforts.
The donation ceremony was attended by a total of four people, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Gray from Seoul Northeast Hero Era, and other related members, proceeding with the donation handover and commemorative photo session.
The donated funds will be used to support disabled people in vulnerable groups in Nowon District.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "I am always grateful for the continuous helping hands extended by the Hero Era members to the marginalized people in the community," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that the positive influence of the Hero Era reaches every place where it is needed."
