"Southeast Asia 'Direct Overseas Purchase' Launch... CJ Logistics Partners with Singapore Company"

Contract with Singapore Logistics Company 'Ninjaben'
No Need for Separate Contracts with Domestic and International Customs and Delivery Companies
One-Time Use of Reverse Direct Purchase Service Possible

CJ Logistics is partnering with a Singaporean logistics company to launch cross-border e-commerce logistics in Southeast Asia.

On the 18th, CJ Logistics announced that it signed a customs clearance and delivery service contract with the Singaporean logistics company "Ninja Van." Founded in Singapore in 2014, Ninja Van provides customs clearance and delivery services in six Southeast Asian countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand.

CJ Logistics plans to target the Southeast Asian cross-border e-commerce market together with Ninja Van. Products shipped from domestic logistics centers will be transported to Southeast Asian countries through CJ Logistics, and Ninja Van will handle customs clearance and delivery services in each destination country.

Domestic companies will be able to achieve one-stop logistics from Korea to final consumers in the Southeast Asian region through CJ Logistics without needing to individually contract with domestic customs brokers, carriers, or overseas local customs brokers and delivery companies. CJ Logistics expects that as the volume increases, the cost of cross-border e-commerce services could be reduced compared to general international express delivery. Furthermore, they plan to expand various cross-border e-commerce logistics services targeting major markets such as the United States and Japan.

Jang Young-ho, head of CJ Logistics IFS Division, said, "By combining the company's accumulated differentiated forwarding operation capabilities with the customs clearance and delivery capabilities of overseas local specialized logistics companies, we can provide highly efficient and stable cross-border e-commerce logistics services." He added, "We will build a broad cooperative system with overseas local logistics companies to further strengthen the cross-border e-commerce logistics business and expand the cross-border parcel delivery business."
