Man in Underwear Watching TV Caught in Neighbor's House After Owner's Report

A man who secretly entered the apartment of a woman living downstairs was booked after behaving absurdly, such as watching TV in the living room wearing only underwear as if it were his own home.

On the 17th, the Hwaseong Dongtan Police Station in Gyeonggi announced that they had booked a man, Mr. A, who secretly entered the home of a female neighbor living in the same apartment. Mr. A is suspected of unlawfully entering the home of Ms. B, a woman living on the floor below him, at around 8:30 a.m. on the 16th.

Mr. A unlawfully entered Ms. B’s home directly below his own on the 3rd floor through an open veranda window. Afterward, wearing only underwear, Mr. A was watching TV in the living room when Ms. B discovered him and screamed. He then jumped out of the 2nd-floor window and fled.

Police who responded to Ms. B’s report apprehended Mr. A near the apartment. Investigations revealed that during the incident, he did not cause harm to Ms. B or commit additional crimes such as theft. Considering Mr. A’s history of mental illness treatment, the police arranged for emergency hospitalization and are currently investigating the detailed circumstances of the case.
