Upload of Overseas Stocks Episode on YouTube Channel 'MeritzOn'
Meritz Securities has unveiled a tax-saving strategy for the so-called ‘Seohak Gaemi,’ investors who are highly interested in overseas stocks.
On the 18th, Meritz Securities announced that it uploaded the overseas stock edition of the on-site tax consultation series ‘Tax365’ on its YouTube channel ‘MeritzOn.’
With this, a total of five episodes have been uploaded, following those on domestic stocks, bonds, derivatives, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Tax365 is content that introduces tax-saving strategies for various financial products by presenting diverse investment cases. In line with the purpose of ‘experts providing on-site tax consultations,’ it offers strategies tailored to different situations based on investment conditions and tax benefits.
A tax accountant from Meritz Securities appears directly to review the taxes incurred when investing in each product and presents the amount that can be saved with specific figures. Unlike domestic stock investments, capital gains tax is incurred when investment profits arise from overseas stocks, making tax-saving strategies essential.
Meanwhile, Meritz Securities has launched the ‘365 Series,’ including the comprehensive investment account ‘Super365,’ which offers repurchase agreement (RP) yields on deposits, and the bond comprehensive service ‘Bond365.’ Since surpassing a balance of 300 billion KRW in February, Super365 exceeded 400 billion KRW within a month. Bond365 has strengthened its lineup from short-term commercial paper in February to both on- and off-exchange bonds. Customers with Super365 accounts can trade on-exchange bonds at a trading commission of 0.015%, regardless of the remaining period.
A Meritz Securities representative stated, “The 365 Series is Meritz’s differentiated service that provides benefits to customers 365 days a year without rest,” adding, “We will continue to plan products and services from the customer’s perspective to offer unique investment opportunities through the 365 Series.”
