All Employees to Industrial Sites... 'Ministry of Industry Task Force' Conducts 752 On-site Communications Over 3 Months

Field Visits and Meetings from Ministers to Staff
Identified 117 Issues and Suggestions in Advanced Industries, Digital Transformation, and Industrial Complexes

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy is strengthening on-site communication by having all employees, from the minister to field workers, frequently visit industrial sites.


The ministry announced on the 18th that through the operation of the 'Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Mobile Unit (Corporate Trend Response Team),' it communicated with the industry and field a total of 752 times over the past three months through site visits and meetings, identifying 117 on-site difficulties related to advanced industries, digital transformation, industrial complexes, technology, energy, and trade, and has resolved or finalized 37 of these issues.


Since November last year, the ministry has been operating a program where all employees visit various industrial sites weekly through site visits, meetings, and corporate meetings to closely support and manage the resolution of on-site difficulties and to discover and promote new policy tasks.

Over the past three months, the ministry conducted on-site communication 86 times by ministers and vice ministers, 201 times by bureau and division chiefs, and 465 times by section chiefs and field workers. By sector, it listened to the voices of the industrial field 432 times in industry, 219 times in energy, and 101 times in trade, identifying and supporting on-site difficulties, regulations, policy tasks, and suggestions.


The identified on-site difficulties and suggestions totaled 117 cases (22 regulatory improvements, 27 administrative supports, 32 financial and tax matters, and 36 policy proposals). Through review and consultation with related agencies, 37 issues have been resolved or solutions prepared, including ▲strengthening support for advanced strategic industries ▲expanding infrastructure for demonstration and distribution of collaborative robots ▲relaxing qualification requirements for engineering technicians ▲improving working and living conditions in industrial complexes and allowing the entry of vertical farms and automobile repair businesses ▲strengthening punishment for industrial technology leakage offenders ▲establishing clean hydrogen certification regulations and promoting the construction of a clean hydrogen testing and evaluation center ▲and enhancing trade insurance support for emerging markets.


Minister An Deok-geun of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said, "For the future of our industry, including the super-gap in advanced industries, the great transformation of core industries, and export advancement, we will listen to the voices of the industrial field and swiftly remove obstacles to business so that our companies can thrive without restraint."
