A foreign car driver was caught on camera spewing severe verbal abuse at a rider he encountered in an alley, sparking controversy.

On the 16th, the YouTube channel 'Han Moon-cheol TV' shared a story from a bride-to-be who is getting married next year. Her fianc? works as a rider for a delivery service, and he experienced something very unfair and upsetting. The rider, the fianc?, was riding at 30 km/h through a narrow alley on the 9th while making a delivery. Due to cars parked on both sides of the alley, there was barely enough space for one car to pass. When he saw a Mercedes-Benz vehicle entering the alley from the front, he slowed down to give way.
However, the Mercedes driver rolled down the window and immediately started cursing, saying, "XXX, take it slow. What are you trying to do popping out so aggressively there?" When the rider asked, "Why are you cursing?" the driver got out of the car and continued the verbal abuse. The Mercedes driver shamelessly made crossing-the-line remarks such as, "If there were no laws, I would have run over scum like you with my car." He also continued with insulting comments like, "I'll gouge your eyes out," "Go live your life delivering food and eat s***," "When I order delivery, you guys live off that money," "There's no social progress because of scum like you," and "You beggar s***."

The bride-to-be who reported the incident said, "I tried to find out if a criminal complaint was possible, but the police said this kind of situation is common," adding, "They said it doesn't even qualify as defamation. My fianc? is mentally very distressed." She added that defamation charges can be filed when insulting language is used in front of many people, but unfortunately, only the two of them were in the alley. Lawyer Han Moon-cheol also explained that although the verbal abuse was severe, it did not meet the criteria for intimidation charges.
Lawyer Han said, "I have seen the worst kind of person. I've watched nearly 90,000 to 100,000 black box videos, but I've never seen someone this despicable before," expressing his shock by saying, "His mouth is like a sewer." Netizens who saw this also commented, "People like that should be avoided because they're disgusting," "It's because of people like the Mercedes driver that society doesn't progress," and "It's not anything else; the Mercedes driver's heart is the real beggar."
