Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 17th that it has launched and is operating official SNS channels to deliver various events and important news of the Saemgoeul Jeongdawon Commercial District.
The SNS channels (blog, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram), which were launched last October, are actively used as a platform to introduce the charm of Jeongdawon Commercial District to tourists and citizens visiting the district, and to deliver useful information such as food, sights, and entertainment in an engaging and effective way.

The city plans to utilize eight ‘Commercial District Supporters’ selected through an open recruitment to create card news or videos featuring hidden restaurants or stores in the district and distribute them through the SNS channels.
In addition, to activate the SNS channels, the city plans to hold various events every month such as follow and neighbor addition events, and offline promotions, providing coupons for coffee, ice cream, and local agricultural specialty products.
A city official stated, “The Jeongdawon Commercial District SNS channels will not be limited to one-way promotion but will be used as a platform to communicate with local residents and enhance the competitiveness of the local commercial district,” and added, “We ask for interest and use of Jeongdawon Commercial District to revitalize the local economy.”
