Gwangju Suwan Lotte Outlet Hosts 'Children's Environmental Art Contest'

Participants Accepted on a First-Come, First-Served Basis Until May 4

The 'Lotte Children’s Environmental Art Contest,' the largest children’s art competition in Korea, will be held in Gwangju.


According to Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch Manager Moon Jung-o on the 17th, the 'Lotte Children’s Environmental Art Contest,' now in its 42nd year, is the largest children’s art competition in Korea, first held in 1979. It was started together with the Ministry of Environment and the Environmental Foundation to widely promote the importance of environmental conservation.


Gwangju Suwan Lotte Outlet Hosts 'Children's Environmental Art Contest'

This year’s Gwangju regional event of the art contest will take place on May 25 at Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan and the Suwan Lake Park area.


Registration is open online through the Lotte Department Store Mall until May 4, and children aged 4 to 6th grade in elementary school can participate. The registration fee is 6,000 KRW per child, and a portion of the fee will be donated to the Environmental Foundation for environmental conservation.


Especially, those who register by the early registration deadline on the 21st will receive a special benefit of a 5,000 KRW Lotte Department Store mobile gift certificate.


Through this art contest, a total of 327 children from 16 regions nationwide will receive awards, and the grand prize winner will be awarded a cash prize along with a commendation from the Minister of Environment. All participants will receive four Kinder Universe design goods, including a picnic mat.


On the day of the contest at Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan, on-site events, experience programs, and performances will be announced later.
