Naver Pay announced on the 17th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Billboard and Billboard Korea. The signing ceremony was attended by Park Sang-jin, CEO of Naver Pay, Mike Van, CEO of Billboard, and Kim Yuna, CEO and publisher of Billboard Korea.


The three companies agreed to collaborate to create synergy between fintech and entertainment services. Naver Pay plans to promote various cooperative projects combining entertainment services provided by Billboard Korea domestically with easy payment services. They will support Billboard Korea's scheduled launch in Korea in June and provide payment services for music, broadcasting, and performances.


Through this agreement, the three parties are expected to contribute to fostering a fair and transparent culture of performance ticket booking. In the long term, the spread of K-POP content through Billboard's global platform is anticipated.


Park Sang-jin, CEO of Naver Pay, said, "We are pleased to be able to join Billboard Korea's entry into the Korean music market," adding, "We will actively seek ways for Billboard, Billboard Korea, and Naver Pay to create synergy through various entertainment services."


Mike Van, CEO of Billboard, and Kim Yuna, CEO of Billboard Korea, stated, "Through the partnership with Naver Pay, we will be able to offer various innovative services unique to Billboard in the Korean music market."
