Over 480 Snack Varieties and 100 Types of Ramen Gathered in One Place
CU, a convenience store operated by BGF Retail, announced on the 17th that it has opened a snack-specialized store called 'Snack Library' at Incheon International Airport.
This is the third library convenience store launched by CU, following the ramen-specialized stores opened in Hongdae, Seoul, and Jamsil Ferry Terminal. CU explained, "We chose the snack theme this time based on the high sales proportion of desserts and snacks in the Ramen Library, which sees many foreign customers."

In fact, an analysis of sales proportions by category at the first Ramen Library store (CU Hongdae Sangsang Store) until the 15th showed that ramen accounted for the highest share at 21.8% of total sales, followed by snacks including chips at 13.6%.
At this library store, CU is showcasing about 480 types of snacks under the theme 'Must Have K Snacks' that you must try in Korea. Customers can also find over 40 differentiated private brand (PB) snacks, including CU’s representative PB snack brand 'HEYROO Snacks.' Consumers can easily find trending K-snacks at a glance through an LED display installed at the top of the store’s bookshelf.
One side of the store is decorated as the 'Ramen Library.' It offers about 100 types of bagged and cup ramen, which showed high sales at the first store. Each ramen is labeled with its Scoville heat unit to indicate spiciness, and the products are displayed by type, such as spicy ramen, stir-fried ramen, and soup ramen.
Jinyoungho, Head of Product Division at BGF Retail, said, "CU will continue to develop differentiated store models reflecting trends to provide new experiences and enjoyment to customers visiting CU."
