Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 17th that it will operate a travel expense support campaign where participants can experience electric vehicle charging in Jeju.
The "Currently Charging" travel support campaign is Hyundai's mobility initiative designed to provide free movement and convenient electric vehicle charging experiences.
Hyundai will select a total of 100 teams and support round-trip airfare to Jeju, accommodation costs, travel insurance, Ioniq 5 rental cars, and all charging expenses. Priority will be given to mobility-vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and pregnant women.
Those selected for this campaign will be able to experience a convenient and safe electric vehicle charging process through the Automatic Charging Robot (ACR) installed at the Jeju Saebil E-pit charging station.
The electric vehicle automatic charging robot is a robotic arm developed in-house by Hyundai Robotics Lab to reduce the hassle during charging and enhance customer convenience. After the driver parks the car in the charging zone, pressing a single button on the smartphone application will allow the robot to handle the charging automatically. The robot automates everything from opening and closing the charging port to connecting and disconnecting the connector.
Selected participants in this travel support campaign will embark on a 2-night, 3-day trip per team during the period from June 14 to July 31. Those wishing to participate can submit their stories and application forms through the application page by April 30.
A Hyundai official said, "This campaign is part of the global CSV (Creating Shared Value) initiative 'Hyundai Continue.' We hope customers can experience free movement without being constrained by charging."
