Mongolian President Reiterates Invitation to Kim Jong-un: "Friendly and Cooperative Relations with North Korea"

Invited to the 2022 Festival as Well

Okhna Khurelsukh, President of Mongolia, repeatedly expressed his invitation for Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea, to visit Mongolia.


President Khurelsukh made this statement in a congratulatory message sent to Chairman Kim on the occasion of the 112th birthday of President Kim Il-sung on the 15th, according to a report by the Korean Central News Agency on the 16th.


President Khurelsukh said, "I once again invite Your Excellency, the respected Chairman, to visit our country, the land of blue skies, at a convenient time."

He added, "Your Excellency's visit will be a significant event that deepens the friendship and goodwill between the peoples of the two countries, while opening a new chapter in the 75-year history of our traditional friendly relations."


He also stated, "Mongolia places great importance on expanding and developing the historic and traditional friendly cooperative relationship with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea," and expressed confidence that "we will continue to cooperate with Your Excellency in efforts to contribute to regional peace and prosperity."


President Khurelsukh had previously invited Chairman Kim to Mongolia in a congratulatory message celebrating the 74th anniversary of the founding of North Korea's regime (September 9) in 2022.
