On the 16th, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the '2024 Rural College Entrance Ceremony' at the Eco-friendly Agriculture Research Institute auditorium of the Goseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center, attended by 29 new students as well as guests and officials.
This year, the Rural College will operate for a total of 92 hours, with 4 hours every Tuesday from the entrance ceremony on the 16th until September. It aims to provide an opportunity for farmers to grow by offering customized education that combines essential farming information, theoretical and practical lessons from expert instructors, and field trips.
The 'Goseong-gun Rural College' has enrolled 442 students up to last year and produced 356 graduates, contributing to increasing the income of local farmers and enhancing agricultural competitiveness.
Especially, marking its 16th term this year, the 'Goseong-gun Rural College' expects to play a leading role in local agriculture, as 8 out of the total 29 new students reside outside the area.
County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, "I hope the Rural College becomes a place of opportunity where new farmers with a passion for learning can realize their dreams," adding, "I wish all the new students who enrolled this time to faithfully complete the one-year education course and grow into professional farmers."
