Previously, the district introduced the dementia Smart Cure Call last year, the first in the nation to use artificial intelligence to support emotional communication and reminiscence training, and this project adds home visits. The Home Visit Cognitive Enhancement Service involves professional instructors visiting homes twice a month to check on participants based on Smart Cure Call conversations and provide cognitive enhancement activity classes.

Daekyo Newif’s home visit cognitive enhancement learning is conducted once every two weeks for 30 minutes using the dementia prevention content 'Brain Training Kit.' It offers one-on-one customized learning and emotional management services tailored to cognitive status such as forgetfulness, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia stages.

A Daekyo Newif official stated, "We will strive to contribute to improving the quality of life by supporting the enhancement of cognitive abilities and emotional management of the elderly through home visit cognitive care services."

Through this project, the district expects to resolve any potential care gaps, suppress social isolation and dementia progression among participants, and improve their quality of life. Park Jong-hyo, Mayor of Namdong-gu, said, "As the population ages and dementia prevalence increases, we hope that personalized cognitive care will help residents prevent dementia."
