Korea Forest Welfare Institute Receives 'Best' Rating in Public Institution Subsidiary Management Evaluation

The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 16th that it received the highest grade (Grade A) for three consecutive years in the '2023 Public Institution Subsidiary Operation Performance Evaluation.'


The evaluation is conducted annually under the supervision of the Ministry of Employment and Labor to ensure the stable operation of public institution subsidiaries. The subjects include 90 subsidiaries of 91 public institutions,


and the evaluation criteria consist of four areas: establishing a foundation for the stability and sustainability of subsidiaries, guaranteeing the independence of subsidiaries and building desirable parent-subsidiary relationships, improving the treatment of subsidiary workers, and efforts and support for professional management of subsidiaries.

In the evaluation, the Forest Welfare Institute received high scores in three out of four performance indicators: management improvement in four major areas through management diagnosis, capital increase and improvement of capital soundness using retained earnings, enhancement of employee welfare and capacity building, and expansion of education.


Nam Tae-heon, President of the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, said, "It is meaningful that our efforts for the smooth operation and development of subsidiaries have been recognized externally," adding, "The Korea Forest Welfare Institute will continue to do its best to ensure the stable operation and sustainable growth of subsidiaries."
