Mubo Supports Growth of SMEs with High Potential Despite No Export Records... 'Export Growth Planet'

Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-SURE) is set to actively promote a program that supports the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with strong technology and potential, even if they have no export performance.

K-SURE announced on the 17th that it will recruit target companies for the 'Export Growth Plan it!' program until the 29th of this month.

This program aligns with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 'Expansion Plan for Trade Insurance Support' announced last month, which aims to discover domestic startups and support their growth into export companies. Based on export scale, the program is segmented into three stages with customized preferential support: Emerging Star (annual exports under $1 million), Rising Star (under $30 million), and Shining Star (over $30 million), helping strong domestic SMEs leap into global leading companies.

K-SURE plans to select final companies for each stage through a public recruitment process, document and on-site evaluations, and review by a professional selection committee. Companies wishing to apply can do so via the K-SURE website by the 29th of this month.

Selected companies will receive benefits such as special export credit guarantee limits, up to 90% discounts on insurance and guarantee fees, exemption from fees for up to 30 overseas company credit investigations annually, and tailored consulting services.

K-SURE will support up to 10 billion KRW per company in special export credit guarantee limits to help target companies secure necessary funds more smoothly, and will increase the guarantee ratio from the existing 90% to 100%, opening financial pathways. Additionally, companies will be able to use K-SURE’s insurance and guarantee products at up to 90% discounted rates, receive up to 30 free overseas company credit investigation services annually, and enjoy various cost-saving effects.
