On the 15th (local time), in the officially announced women's golf weekly world rankings, she earned 1.81 points and rose 17 spots from 70th last week to 53rd. Park Ji-young, who maintained a position within the top 40 last year by winning three times on the KLPGA Tour, had fallen outside the top 70 this year but made a leap into the top 50. At the Mediheal·Hankook Ilbo Championship, which concluded on the 14th, she showcased stable performance, playing without a bogey through the 69th hole, securing her first win of the season and her 8th career victory. The winner's prize money was 180 million won.
There were no changes in the top rankings last week as no LPGA Tour events were held in the United States. Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu (both from the USA), C?line Boutier (France), Yin Ruoning (China), and Minjee Lee (Australia) firmly held the ‘Top 5’ positions. South Korea placed Ko Jin-young at 6th, Kim Hyo-joo at 9th, Yang Hee-young at 15th, and Shin Ji-ae at 19th. The ‘domestic number 1’ Lee Ye-won rose one spot to 32nd.
