Kia Showcases Design Philosophy at 'Milano Design Week'

Kia is participating in the world's largest design festival, 'Milan Design Week,' to promote the brand's design philosophy, 'Opposites United.'

Kia announced that it will hold a solo exhibition at the design and furniture fair '2024 Milan Design Week,' held from the 15th to the 21st of this month. This is Kia's second solo exhibition following last year.

Celebrating its 62nd anniversary this year, Milan Design Week is the world's premier design exhibition where the latest cultural trends in architecture, fashion, automobiles, IT, and more can be explored. It consists of the furniture fair 'Salone del Mobile' and the off-site exhibition 'Fuorisalone.'

Participating in the off-site exhibition, Kia will operate a solo permanent exhibition program at the art gallery 'Museo della Permanente,' located in the heart of Milan, Italy.

The exhibition space is planned with a total of five areas, from the lobby to the main exhibition space. Kia collaborated with four artists active in different fields to reinterpret 'Opposites United' and expressed this through their works, filling the space. The creative approaches presented by artists from diverse backgrounds expand the concept of the design philosophy while conveying the message that even differences can coexist harmoniously.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, various events such as forums and performances centered on design will also be held. On the stage prepared on the second floor of the exhibition hall, distinguished figures from various fields, including Karim Habib, Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, will hold forums every evening. After the forums, performances spanning various genres from electronic music to classical will continue late into the night.

A Kia representative said, "This exhibition is a showcase of the creativity of artists active in various fields based on Kia's design philosophy, Opposites United," adding, "We ask for your interest in Kia's efforts to embrace a broad spectrum for the formation of a creative culture."
