Kwack No-jeong, President of SK Hynix, Delivers Keynote Speech at Semiconductor Event in Washington DC, USA

Gwak No-jeong, President of SK Hynix, is known to be delivering a keynote speech at a semiconductor event in Washington DC, USA.


According to industry sources on the 15th, Purdue University and Senator Todd Young will host an event titled "Chips for America, Execution for Global Success" on the 17th (local time) at the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington DC to discuss the competitiveness of the U.S. semiconductor industry.


At this event, President Gwak will deliver the first keynote speech on the topic of "Partnerships for Global Success in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)."


In addition to President Gwak, representatives from the semiconductor industry including Micron, TSMC, IBM, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), and the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) will also appear as speakers.


The organizers introduced this event as a forum where global industry, government, and academic leaders discuss strategies to promote global semiconductor cooperation while addressing national security issues.


Meanwhile, SK Hynix recently finalized a plan to invest 5.2 trillion KRW in Indiana, USA, where Purdue University is located, to build a production base for next-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM), a core AI semiconductor. Through this investment, SK Hynix is expected to receive incentives worth up to 920 billion KRW from the Indiana state government.
