Strengthening Cooperation Within the Security Council for North Korea Sanctions
President Yoon Suk-yeol met with Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, on the 15th and agreed to continue comprehensive strategic cooperation between South Korea and the United States, as conflicts arising from the Middle East situation involving energy, economy, and supply chain issues, as well as cyber and climate change, could escalate into military, political, and diplomatic conflicts.
According to the presidential office, during the meeting with Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield, who is visiting South Korea, President Yoon expressed agreement that both countries should work together to bring an early end to the Israel-Iran-Hamas conflict.

He continued, "The ROK-U.S. alliance has developed over the past 70 years based on universal values of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law, and is advancing into a 'global comprehensive strategic alliance.'"
