50% of Electric Facility Improvement Project Costs ... Up to 3 Million KRW per Person
Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 15th that it will actively promote the support project for improving electrical facilities in old houses to reduce human and property damage by preemptively blocking causes of electrical fire accidents and creating a safe residential environment.
The support target is old houses that have been approved for use for more than 20 years, and the support scale is 50% of the cost of electrical facility improvement projects such as circuit breakers, grounding work, and replacement of household wiring (up to 3 million KRW per person). However, buildings not used as residences, such as warehouses and livestock sheds, are excluded from support.
Applicants wishing to participate in the support project can apply at the administrative welfare centers in their residential towns or townships, and the application period is until May 10. Detailed support criteria and related forms can be found on the city’s official website under the news section.
Park Sang-su, Director of the Safety and Disaster Management Division, said, “We will do our best to create a safe residential environment through the support project for improving electrical facilities in old houses.”
