"Full Effort for Rural Labor Assistance"... NongHyup Central Association 'Pan-NongHyup Farming Support' Launch Ceremony Kang Ho-dong, Chairman of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, is delivering a greeting at the 'Nationwide Simultaneous Launch Ceremony for Agricultural Support' event on the 15th.

On the same day, the NongHyup Central Association also held an event to deliver agricultural machinery worth 26 billion KRW to 1,111 agricultural cooperatives nationwide. This is expected to greatly help replace the shortage of farming labor due to rural population decline and aging, and to increase the mechanization rate of agriculture.

Chairman Kang said, "We held the 2024 National Simultaneous Launch Ceremony for Agricultural Support to mark the beginning of the farming year and to expand nationwide participation in rural labor assistance. NongHyup will make every effort to support farmers facing difficulties due to rising labor and farming material costs and labor shortages through rural labor mediation and assistance."

This year, NongHyup plans to supply 2.35 million agricultural laborers (annual total) to farms through labor mediation. In particular, this year, by operating a 'data-based agricultural labor supply and demand system,' NongHyup will efficiently respond to labor supply and demand through scientific labor demand forecasting and monitoring of labor supply and demand situations, strengthen the NongHyup-centered rural labor assistance promotion system, and operate 70 NongHyup branches running public seasonal labor programs, making full efforts to resolve rural labor shortages.
