The only marine-specialized exhibition in the metropolitan area where you can see smart and eco-friendly marine industries at a glance will be held in Incheon in June.
The Korea Coast Guard and Incheon City announced on the 15th that the "2024 International Marine and Safety Expo" will be held from June 19 to 21 at Songdo Convensia in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.
Since its first event in 2013, the exhibition has been held biennially and will mark its 7th edition this year. Eight themed halls covering shipbuilding, aviation, safety and leisure, navigation communication equipment, and more will showcase the present and future of the marine shipbuilding industry.
Additionally, 200 companies related to advanced marine equipment, including domestic and international shipyards such as HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and HJ Heavy Industries, as well as KT SAT and STX Engine, are expected to participate, making it the largest scale ever.
Especially this year, since the exhibition is held in conjunction with the "20th Asia Marine Security Agency Meeting," it is expected to maximize business outcomes for participating companies. The Asia Marine Security Agency Meeting is the largest international conference of the Korea Coast Guard, attended by over 100 heads and experts of marine security agencies from 22 countries worldwide.
Exhibiting companies can participate in export consultations with overseas marine security agencies or equipment purchase consultations with shipyard procurement officers. The exhibition will also offer various programs for citizens, such as the Marine Safety Challenge Golden Bell, CPR experience, and job fairs.
At the 6th exhibition in 2022, about 150 marine and safety industry companies participated, and over 15,100 visitors attended.
An official from the organizers said, "We will strive to help the exhibition contribute to the development of marine industries, the opening of domestic and international markets for companies, and further regional economic revitalization," adding, "We also hope for active citizen participation in various conferences and experiential events themed on marine safety."
