Dongseo University Wins Grand Prize at 'Best Practices Competition for Overseas Employment Training Institutions'

Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) recently received the Grand Prize (Minister of Employment and Labor Award) at the '2024 Overseas Employment Training Operation Institutions Best Practice Competition' award ceremony held at the Seoul Global Center Building.

Dongseo University Wins Grand Prize at 'Best Practices Competition for Overseas Employment Training Institutions' Employees of the Student Employment Support Office at Dongseo University, who won the grand prize at the Overseas Employment Training Operation Agency Best Practice Competition.

Hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, this event was organized to contribute to the activation of youth overseas employment and to share the know-how of institutions with excellent operational performance, thereby promoting the spread of training project achievements and improving quality.


The competition participants were limited to 13 institutions that received an A grade in the 2022 overseas employment training course operation evaluation, and finally, 5 award-winning institutions were selected.


Dongseo University, which received the grand prize, was recognized for opening various overseas employment courses and operating systematic trainee management, achieving a 96% employment rate in 2022, with all enrolled participants completing the program without any dropouts.


Moreover, through the SAP (Study Abroad Program), students are fully supported with tuition, airfare, and dormitory fees to experience education and local culture for one semester at sister universities in the United States, Japan, and China, preparing for overseas employment. Through GELS (Global Experiential Learning Sites), students independently carry out projects overseas according to self-established study plans for one semester outside the classroom, with support for airfare, living expenses, and scholarships. The Campus Asia program allows students from Korea, China, and Japan to live in each of the three countries for one year, learning about each other's history, culture, and society.


Dongseo University has secured the foundation for nurturing internationally competitive talents through these differentiated global programs and ultimately achieved successful overseas employment through K-move based on its mid- to long-term development plan.
