Department of Beauty Industry, Utilizing Major to Provide Elderly Beauty Services

Over 30 Participants Including National Beauty Contest Top Award Winners

Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) Department of Beauty Industry began volunteering for 'Beauty In Silver Caring' at Dongmyung Well Daycare Center (Senior Daycare Center) from the 9th.

More than 30 students and professors from the university's Department of Beauty Industry provide various beauty-related programs such as nail care, hair drying, and hand massage to the elderly every month.

The volunteer team, including winners of national beauty competitions and professionals with over 20 years of experience in beauty work, shared their talents and joy with elderly people in need of help.

A Dongmyung University official stated that this volunteer service will continue regularly to support the healthy aging life of elderly people who need assistance in daily living.

Kim Kyung-yeon, head of the Department of Beauty Industry at the College of Future Convergence, said, "With the advent of the 100-year life era, social interest in elderly welfare is increasing," and added, "We express our gratitude to all members who participated in donation activities by utilizing their talents and experiences."

The university's Department of Beauty Industry is nurturing future convergence-type beauty service experts and cosmetics specialists who will lead Korea's beauty industry through President Jeon Ho-hwan's Doing education philosophy and practical curriculum.

Dongmyung University practices the educational philosophy of 'Provincial Experience Practice Doing Talent Development' and provides various university-level support so that students can grow into mature members of society through social activities that utilize their majors and talents.
