The Korea Ceramic Foundation explained that the intention is to explore how to regain the 'lost art of collaboration' through the medium of 'ceramics.'

Im Miseon, Artistic Director of the Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale, stated, "Complex issues such as alienation, indifference, and loneliness prevalent in today's modern society are extending beyond our generation to the next." She added, "We aim to examine whether the lost art of collaboration can be restored through the wisdom of life and artistic imagination found in ceramic culture and art."

Started in 2001 and now in its 12th edition, the Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale is recognized as a prestigious international event in the field of ceramic art, with participation from over 1,000 artists from more than 70 countries worldwide. This year, it will be held for 45 days from September 6 to October 20 in Icheon, Yeoju, and Gwangju.
