Price Increased by 100~800 Won Compared to Before
First Raise in Over 2 Years Since Re-entering Domestic Market in 2022
Delivery Price Differentiation System Implemented
Delivery Prices 5% Higher Than In-store Prices
Popeyes Korea announced that starting from the 15th, it will raise the prices of chicken menu items, sandwich menu items, sides and desserts, and beverages by an average of 4%.
The prices of the items subject to the increase will rise by approximately 100 to 800 KRW compared to before. This is the first time in over two years that Popeyes Korea has raised its menu prices. Previously, Popeyes entered the Korean market in 1994, withdrew at the end of 2020, and re-entered the Korean market in December 2022, now raising prices this time.
However, the company stated that to minimize the burden on consumers, the prices of the most popular menu items, the Classic Chicken Sandwich and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, will remain the same as before.
Along with some menu price increases, a differentiated delivery pricing system will also be operated separately. Accordingly, delivery menu prices will be set at an average of about 5% higher than in-store sales prices.
A Popeyes representative said, "We have restrained price increases to minimize the burden on customers, but due to recent inflation and rising costs such as labor and delivery fees, the pressure has become too great, making it inevitable to adjust prices. Going forward, we will conduct various value promotions such as limited-time discount sets, delivery fee discounts, and time discounts to minimize consumer burden."
