President Yoon Suk-yeol chaired an emergency economic and security meeting on the Middle East situation at the Yongsan Presidential Office on the 14th.
The Presidential Office explained that the meeting was held to comprehensively assess the impact of Iran's attack on Israel on international security and economic conditions, as well as on our security and economy, and to discuss future response directions.
The attendees evaluated that the geopolitical instability in the Middle East is increasing uncertainty in the global economy, and agreed to closely monitor the ripple effects of movements in international oil prices and exchange rates, while responding promptly to the impact on our economy, including supply chains and prices.
