On the 13th, Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority held a safety prayer ceremony at Jebu Marina located in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, ahead of the marine leisure season to pray for the prevention of safety accidents at Jebu Marina, accident-free operations, and the well-being of users.
About 50 people attended the safety prayer ceremony, including Park Myung-won, a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Agriculture and Marine Affairs Committee, the Gyeonggi Marine Leisure Development Council representing Jebu Marina commercial vessels, the Jebu Marina Port Shipowners Association and their families, as well as the authority's executives and employees.
The attendees promoted harmony between the shipowners using Jebu Marina and the authority's staff ahead of the peak marine leisure season, and reaffirmed the importance of preventing safety accidents.
Kim Seok-gu, President of Pyeongtaek Port Authority, said, "We will spare no effort in providing various support such as thorough pre-facility safety inspections and safety education to ensure that boats and yachts using Jebu Marina can operate safely without accidents throughout the year," urging active interest and participation.
