Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the '6th Shin-O Azalea Festival' held at Shingil Neighborhood Park in Shingil 5-dong on the afternoon of the 13th.
The festival, organized by the Shin-O Azalea Festival Promotion Committee of Shingil 5-dong, was attended by about 500 people, including Mayor Choi, members of various professional organizations, and local residents, who enjoyed viewing the azaleas together and celebrating the festival.
On this day, the festival featured cultural performances such as saxophone and drum performances and singing contests, experience booths including family motto writing, balsam flower dyeing, and CPR training, as well as promotional booths like a children's art exhibition, providing a variety of attractions and activities.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, "Currently, Shingil Neighborhood Park is equipped with various facilities such as a basketball court, badminton court, and acupressure walking trail. This year, we planted an additional 3,000 azalea bushes and replaced the lighting at the badminton court," adding, "I thank everyone who attended this Shin-O Azalea Festival, and I ask for continued interest and visits from the residents."
