Selected 10 Individuals and 5 Corporations Leading the Promotion of a Culture of Faithful Tax Payment
Benefits Include 1 Year of Free Public Parking for Individuals and 3 Years of Local Tax Audit Exemption for Corporations
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) awarded commendations to exemplary taxpayers and expressed gratitude at the district office's planning situation room on the 12th. This is to foster a sound taxpaying culture where residents who faithfully pay local taxes are socially respected.
The district selects diligent taxpayers annually. This year, 10 individuals and 5 corporations were chosen. The selection criteria include ▲no tax arrears in the past three years, ▲faithful payment of three or more local taxes annually such as property tax and automobile tax, and ▲contributions to community development and a sound taxpaying culture. On the 2nd, 15 recipients were finalized after a strict review by the Gwangjin-gu Local Tax Deliberation Committee.
The individuals selected this year are Park Hyung-tae, Seo Myung-duk, Yang Seung-rip, Lee Kyu-eok, Lee Yoon-geun, Jung Kyung-rak, Jung Soo-kwang, Jo Jin-seok, Choi Bok-soo, and Choi Woo-seok. The corporations are Gwangjin Jayang Saemaeul Geumgo (Chairman Yang Yoon-hwan), Gwangjin Junggok Saemaeul Geumgo (Chairman Joo Yoon-sik), Wooin Wave (CEO Byun Eung-heon), Wolseong Transport (CEO Kim Sung-ki), and KTSC (CEO Kim Byung-soo).
Diligent taxpayers receive commendations and can use the public parking lots operated by the district free of charge for one year. They are also invited to various events hosted by the district, providing opportunities to participate in district administration. Corporations are exempt from local tax audits for three years.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We thank you for faithfully paying local taxes without arrears despite difficult economic conditions. The taxes you pay will be used carefully for regional development and residents’ welfare.” He added, “We will continue to strive to ensure diligent taxpayers are favored and a mature taxpaying culture is established.”
