Hyday1 Co., Ltd., a market research company specializing in commercialization, along with five companies including ESG startups YamiFun Co., Ltd., EcoTeam Co., Ltd., Owl Society Co., Ltd., and I-Lancy, a startup marketing specialist, signed a strategic business agreement on the 15th (Monday) at Pangyo Startup Campus.
The purpose of this business agreement is to focus on and rapidly resolve social issues that can be addressed at this point in time by reflecting ESG values such as environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance improvement.
The main contents include ▲ cooperation in sourcing and developing products aimed at ethical fashion and value consumption ▲ production and promotion of content to raise environmental awareness, and development of media strategies ▲ continuous social responsibility activities through expanding welfare for small and medium-sized employees and supporting marketing for small business owners ▲ development of sustainable business models by supporting startups promoting ESG projects ▲ development and execution of marketing strategies for ESG project outcomes.
Hyday1 Co., Ltd. (CEO Ilho Koo) is a specialized market research, consulting, and education company related to commercialization, serving clients ranging from global companies such as IBM, Microsoft, and Samsung to individual prospective entrepreneurs. In addition, by conducting commerce, distribution, and export operations, it is accelerating the nurturing of startups by pioneering sales channels for startup products.
CEO Koo explained the background of the business agreement, saying, “The ESG business agreement is composed of startup CEOs who all have connections. We have come together again with a sincere desire to solve social problems. This Startup ESG Together is a field that everyone must engage in, regardless of whether they are large corporations or startups, to realize ESG.”
YamiFun Co., Ltd. (CEO Nayeon Lee), which participated in this business agreement, provides a ‘company mobile coupon welfare’ subscription note service. Employees subscribe to stores near their company and receive various discount coupons usable at those stores through mediation. By using the stores listed in the subscription note, it naturally helps revitalize the local economy and contributes to the realization of corporate ESG Social values.
EcoTeam Co., Ltd. (CEO Hangyu Park), a startup protecting the environment through content, creates stories about how companies, organizations, and activists protect the environment in their own ways through content. Everyone who encounters environmental issues through the content realizes that protecting the environment is easy, diverse, and that many people are already protecting it together with companies. They practice not only ‘Let’s protect the environment’ but also ‘Protect together and you are not alone.’
Owl Society Co., Ltd. (CEOs Jiaekwak and Jihee Shin), which supports resale of Dongdaemun wholesale brands, has developed the K-Resale fashion marketplace ‘Shakaraka’ for inventory disposal when wholesale businesses close, based on 36 years of experience in Dongdaemun Market. They operate an eco-friendly startup business that creates a win-win situation for merchants, markets, consumers, and the global environment.
Yun Jeonga, CEO of I-Lancy, a startup marketing and education specialist, added the purpose of this business agreement, saying, “Since last year, ESG has been a hot topic, and related companies have been connected as clients. Climate change and ESG management have become that important. ESG business, which was mainly conducted by large corporations, now has great significance in that startups can unite and play a role in reducing greenhouse gases.”
