Suspected Accidental Discharge, Investigation by Bangbae Police Station
At the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit, an accidental discharge is suspected to have occurred at the shooting range, resulting in one officer sustaining serious injuries.

On the 12th, the Seoul SWAT unit announced that one officer was injured during shooting training and is currently hospitalized. The injured officer suffered a gunshot wound penetrating the left lower abdomen and left thigh. Although there is no immediate threat to life, the officer is undergoing recovery treatment in the intensive care unit.
A police official stated, “To clearly verify the circumstances of the accident, an investigation has been requested from the Bangbae Police Station,” and added, “We plan to do our best to support the treatment of the injured officer.”
