The festival is hosted by the county and organized by the Gochang Cheongbori Barley Field Festival Committee, with support from Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, Nonghyup Gochang Branch, and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanbit Nuclear Power Headquarters.

This year, various musical performances will be showcased on the vast barley fields stage. Diverse music-related programs are prepared, including the opening ceremony performance, busking along the barley field paths, and tourist participation performances.

Food safety is also a top priority. The county will conduct more thorough hygiene inspections of restaurants within the festival grounds and implement a price display system for meals and sales items, along with a reporting center in the comprehensive situation room to ensure no overcharging during the festival.

Additionally, to revitalize the local economy, the county will charge for the use of internal parking lots during the festival period and fully refund the fees in the form of gift certificates.

County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “The Gochang Cheongbori Barley Field Festival is Korea’s representative scenic agriculture festival and is expected to offer very special memories through its sights and food. We will strictly crack down on overcharging not only at the festival site but also in other crowded places so that residents and tourists can fully enjoy the spring.”
