Introducing Exclusive Services for Singapore Airlines
MyRealTrip announced on the 12th that it will introduce NDC (New Distribution Capability), a direct sales service between airlines and travel agencies, starting with Singapore Airlines.
This is a technology standard for airline ticket reservation and sales established by IATA (International Air Transport Association) that enables direct transactions linked with airlines. Through the introduction of NDC, MyRealTrip will offer Singapore Airlines tickets at prices up to 30% cheaper. The service will be expanded to include various additional services such as basic information on flight arrivals and departures, flight times, in-flight meals, seat selection, baggage weight and quantity, and free in-flight internet.
MyRealTrip launched the Singapore Airlines ticket reservation service applying this on the 11th of last month, and the daily transaction amount has increased by an average of more than 20 times compared to before. Starting with Singapore Airlines, it plans to provide NDC services with multiple major airlines including Air France KLM within this year. Additionally, it will focus on enhancing the service so that travel content such as accommodation, tours, and admission tickets can be purchased in a one-stop manner within the app, linked with NDC airline products.
Lee Dong-geon, CEO of MyRealTrip, said, "Through cooperation with airlines possessing innovative technology, we will provide diverse travel content with high price competitiveness to increase customer satisfaction," adding, "In the future, we will further solidify our position as a travel super app with more diverse and personalized travel options."
