Joint Recruitment Briefing Tailored for Local Talent Held at City Hall on the 12th at 2 PM
26 Institutions Including Public Agencies Relocated to Busan Innovation City and Their Subordinate Public Agencies Participate
Busan City will hold the "2024 Joint Recruitment Briefing Session for Local Talent with Busan Innovation City" at 2 p.m. on the 12th in the city hall auditorium.
The event is co-hosted by the city and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and organized by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency.
The scope of participation has been expanded to include not only public institutions relocated to Busan Innovation City but also public institutions under the city, financial institutions, and related organizations, with a total of 26 institutions providing recruitment plans in this large-scale briefing session.
This briefing session is prepared to provide recruitment information for public institutions in the Busan area and will proceed with a preliminary event and the main recruitment briefing session.
The preliminary event, starting at 1:30 p.m., includes a talk concert with HR managers from city-affiliated institutions such as Busan Transportation Corporation and Busan Urban Corporation.
The recruitment briefing session, starting at 2 p.m., will feature popular YouTuber "Interview King Lee Hyung" presenting 2024 employment strategies (priorities in job preparation), HR managers from Korea Southern Power, Korea Asset Management Corporation, and Korea Technology Finance Corporation providing recruitment guidelines, and presentations of local talent employment success stories by new employees from Korea Housing Finance Corporation, Korea Southern Power, and Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation.
Separate from the briefing session, recruitment consultation booths, mock interview rooms, and a university joint support center will be operated to provide practical help to job seekers.
At the recruitment consultation booths, operating from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., staff responsible for actual recruitment will conduct customized consultations with job seekers, offering realistic advice from HR managers that can only be heard on-site. This year, separate consultations for high school graduate recruitment will also be conducted.
At 10 a.m., the mock interview room will hold in-depth mock interviews based on the National Competency Standards (NCS) interview techniques, along with feedback, for 30 selected participants who applied in advance.
For participating local university students, a university joint support center and event booths such as AI interviews and photo booths will be operated to provide convenience like employment guidance.
Especially this year, policy promotion booths will be separately operated to provide information on policies helpful to job seekers, such as local talent recruitment by public institutions relocated to Busan Innovation City, youth internship programs, and public institution disability employment support systems.
Kim Seong-jo, the city's Financial Startup Policy Officer, stated, "Our city will strive to nurture customized talent through close cooperation with relocated public institutions to create a virtuous cycle where local talent can find employment and settle in Busan." He added, "We expect this briefing session to be very helpful for local talent preparing for public institution employment, and we ask for the interest and participation of local talent who will lead Busan's development."
Busan Innovation City serves as a hub for regional industry growth in the marine, finance, and film and video sectors, and the relocated public institutions contribute in various ways to nurturing local talent through research and cooperation with local universities, local talent recruitment, and institution-university cooperative education (open campus).
