The U.S. Department of Labor announced on the 11th (local time) that the Producer Price Index (PPI) in the United States rose by 0.2% compared to the previous month.
This figure falls short of the 0.3% increase forecasted by experts surveyed by Dow Jones.
Compared to the same period last year, it increased by 2.1%.
The core producer price index, excluding energy and food, rose by 0.2% month-over-month, matching expert expectations. This figure increased by 2.8% compared to the same period last year.
