"No Suitable Clothes, Custom Made"
A teenage girl in the United States holding the title of 'the woman with the longest legs in the world' shared the inconveniences she experiences in daily life.
The British media outlet Daily Mail highlighted the life of Marcy Currin (19), who lives in Austin, Texas, USA, and holds the title of 'the woman with the longest legs in the world.' Currin's height is 208 cm, with her leg length alone measuring approximately 134 cm. Her leg length is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the longest among women worldwide.
However, Currin reportedly faces difficulties in everyday life due to her long legs. The biggest problem is finding clothes that fit her body size. She said, "There are no long pants that fit me, so I have them custom-made," adding, "A pair of jeans costs $250 (about 340,000 KRW). I don’t have much money, so I only own two pairs of jeans that fit me perfectly."
But the greatest challenge for Currin was when dating. She said, "I’m not very interested in dating right now, but every time I went on a date, it felt uncomfortable meeting men who were much shorter than me," and added, "It seemed like they were embarrassed of me."
She revealed that she has always been taller than others since childhood, saying, "When I was in the second grade of elementary school, some people even asked if I was a middle school student." She also confessed, "People used to tease me by comparing me to the horror movie character 'Slender Man'." It was reported that reactions from netizens who watched her TikTok videos were mixed.
However, Currin said, "My greatest strength is that there is no one else like me," and added, "People often say things like, 'You are so beautiful, are you a model?'"
She then expressed her aspiration, saying, "As a woman over 200 cm tall, my mission is to empower other tall women."
