Gyeongju City "Don't Miss the Spring Performance Wishing for Hosting the APEC Summit"

Municipal Theater Company Planned and Regular Performances Until June

Gyeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province will present spring cultural and artistic performances to attract the APEC Summit.

The Gyeongju Municipal Arts Troupe will provide various cultural enjoyment opportunities for citizens and tourists from this month until June by utilizing the Municipal Choir, Silla Bugle Band, and Municipal Theater Company.

The spring performances will begin with the Municipal Choir’s spring busking, featuring rich performances of popular songs and art songs at Hwangridan-gil every Friday from 2 p.m. and at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond every Saturday from 7 p.m.

The spring busking performances at Hwangridan-gil will be held 12 times from the 12th of this month to the 17th of next month, and the performances at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond will take place 12 times from the 13th of this month to May 18.

The Silla Bugle Band, which completed its regular performance in March, will also hold regular performances. From the 14th of this month to June 9, they will offer monthly regular performances themed around Gyeongju’s Pungnyu at the Daereungwon area on the second Sunday of each month, totaling three performances.

The Municipal Theater Company will open the curtain for its 129th regular performance at the Gyeongju Arts Center Wonhwa Hall for three days from the 19th to the 21st of this month. This regular performance is a mystery comedy based on the French famous writer Robert Thomas’s work, “Eight Women.”

Admission is 5,000 KRW for all seats, and the performances will be held three times in total: at 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on weekends. For more details, please contact the Gyeongju Municipal Arts Troupe Operations Team.
