US 'Seatrade Cruise Global' Promotion Booth Operation
Expo with Participation from 120 Countries and Over 250 Shipping Companies
Accelerating Attraction of 5 Major Domestic Ports Including Incheon and Busan
The Korea Tourism Organization has launched marketing efforts to attract cruise visits to Korea at the world's largest cruise expo.

From the 8th to the 11th (local time), the organization operated the 'Cruise Korea' promotional booth jointly with 11 institutions at 'Seatrade Cruise Global' held in Miami, USA. Local governments of five major domestic cruise ports?Busan, Incheon, Sokcho, Yeosu, and Jeju?along with regional tourism organizations and port authorities participated together.
'Seatrade Cruise Global' is the world's largest cruise expo, with participation from over 580 cruise lines and cruise tourism-related organizations from more than 120 countries worldwide. The number of visitors reached approximately 10,000.
In particular, the organization conducted cruise tourism marketing by introducing distinctive cruise tourism content and infrastructure of domestic ports of call. On the 11th, together with the Cruise Consultants and Agents Association (CPAA), they held a promotional presentation on Korean cruise tourism targeting major cruise lines and matched business meetings by port of call, focusing on promoting Korea through close networking with key industry figures.
Park Young-hee, head of the Themed Tourism Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "We will continue to strengthen efforts to attract overseas cruises by cooperating with domestic and international partners, including hosting the 'Korea Cruise Travel Mart' in June, which invites major cruise lines worldwide, to establish Korea as a global cruise destination."
