The Family Center in Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, announced on the 11th that it held a parent-child camp called "Todak Todak Maeum Ssuk Ssuk" the previous day at Seonunsan Youth Hostel, with 10 multicultural youth and 10 parents participating.
As part of the Family Center's Child Growth Support Project, the camp included activities such as ▲outdoor family missions together ▲family games (balloon hitting, parachute play, soccer, etc.) ▲making family albums, helping provide healthy growth and emotional stability for multicultural children.
Camp participant Jeong said, "At first, holding hands with my child to play games felt awkward. But seeing my child so happy while playing together made me feel good as well. Thanks to the camp, I will now take the initiative to approach my child and create more time to spend together."
Jeong Hyesook, director of the Family Center, said, "Adolescence is a time when children face many difficulties on their own due to academic stress and severe mood swings. At times like these, if parents pay attention to their children and express love, children can grow up healthily with a sense of stability."
She added, "Our center will continue to run programs that help improve parent-child relationships."
